i have been studying for a midterm i have tomorrow on metabolic/cellular/hormonal response to starvation, and having just finished the hunger games has lead me to some helpful analogies related to the books. it's easier to remember sirtuin function when i remember that katniss everdeen's sirtuin levels were probably elevated because of the Capitol not providing enough food and restricting her caloric intake...i KNEW hunger games was vital to my education.
